Raw Faith Radio, hosted by the Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sewell, is designed for all those who are interested in spiritual growth and curious about matters of the spirit. A new episode airs each Friday at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Pagatim.fm, If you miss it, you can catch everyday at those same times.
Marilyn is a well-known Unitarian Universalist minister and writer who has received numerous awards and honors. She retired from parish ministry in 2009, after serving 17 years as the Senior Minister of the First Unitarian Church of Portland, Oregon, and was named Minister Emerita. Her latest creative project has been the critically acclaimed full length documentary film, Raw Faith, based on the last year of her ministry. It was an official selection of the Nashville Film Festival and was the 2010 NPT Human Spirit Winner.
The format for Raw Faith Radio is intimate in tone and open and inclusive. Listeners will feel as if they are sitting at the kitchen table with a wise friend who cares. Marilyn does not expect her listeners to agree with her perspective and welcomes a conversation that is enriched with many points of view. She will begin her program each week with a 15 minute segment on a given subject like prayer or forgiveness. She then will answer questions from listeners, telling stories and lending suggestions. Listeners should post their questions on the show’s Facebook page or email Marilyn at marilyn@pagatim.com.
